Get those Christmas and seasonal shopping lists ready, because the 28th annual Fall Craft Fair will be here before you know it! We’ve ordered our usual perfect weather for Saturday, October 3 and invite you all to come and bring your friends and family to Cove Park between 10 and 4. There will be more than eighty crafters, pony rides and face painting for the children, several local non-profit groups and the delicious offerings of the society’s Farmers Market booth under our tent. Admission is $6.00, $5.00 with a coupon which can be found in the Rare Reminder and the Hartford Courant. Children under 12 are admitted free with an adult.

Farmers Market Donations Needed!

Calling all bakers, canners and gardeners in the audience! Our Farmers Market Booth at the Craft Fair needs all kinds of baked goods from breads to cookies, brownies, breads and pies, as well as jams, jellies, pickles and anything else from your garden that is saleable. You can drop off your contributions at the society booth by 9:30 a.m. on Fair day or at the Old Academy by 4 p.m. on Friday, October 2. This booth always sells out and your generous contributions make a big difference!

Volunteers Wanted!

Show co-chairs Pat Ciarcia and Pam Kisielewski need many volunteers – at the gates, the Farmers Market booth, the Museum Shop tables, and to cover lunch breaks for some of the dealers. If you have 2 or 3 hours to give that day, please call our office at 529-7656 and we’ll pass along the information to Pat and Pam. It’s a great way to meet new people and see the Fair.
