Wethersfield, Connecticut: Wethersfield Historical Society is celebrating its fourth annual “tasty” spring event, the “Taste of Wethersfield” Benefit. This innovative event of culinary delights will be held on Saturday, April 4 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street, Wethersfield. Last year’s fundraiser attracted over 400 participants who raved about the food and beverages as well as the great silent auction packages.
This annual evening of fun that combines taste sensations, entertainment and good community spirit will provide funds to support the society’s educational and cultural programming for children and adults. General admission for the event is $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Patrons of the event, at $50 a ticket, will receive early admission at 6 p.m. with full access to the food, drink and entertainment, as well as a special prize drawing just for them.

These providers will be serving, just to name a few, foods ranging from mini-burgers, chowder, special pastas, grilled chicken, Mexican dishes, to assorted desserts. Beverages will include a selection of beers and wines for the tasting.
In addition to the food and spirits, the “Taste of Wethersfield” Benefit promises to be an elegant evening with live music provided by the energetic and swinging Cool Cats Jazz Band in the main ballroom and a jukebox on the first floor. A silent auction of quality packages of gift certificates, gift baskets, wines, food and other unique items will round out the evening.
